TOPIC: 1962 Merc 1000

Hey everyone. I'm in the PNW (Olympia WA) and need some help reassembling the outboard. I took it apart 10 years ago to replace the rubber mount that had desegregated. I had to move locations and never got it back together. Too much time has passed to reassemble from memory. The powerhead is still together but need some help getting it back together. I can come to you, and I can pay you. Since there are no parts available, I don't want to screw it up. anyone interested?

Unfortunately Doc Frankenmerc in Shelton has retired due to health reasons. He just had shoulder surgery at the beginning of April, and will be out for 3 months anyway.

Seems like I've seen someone advertising in the Craigslist as working on Mercs, in the Olympia area. Maybe check Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist.

Found the Craigslist ad. I know absolutely nothing about this person, so Caveat emptor. Get an estimate before proceeding with work.

Thank you sir. I have talked to Dr Frankenmerc, great guy. Unfortunately he is unable to do it. I will give this guy a call, the engine runs great, I don't want to mess it up.
